The Need for T & A

When I first started creating this website it was fueled by the pure emotion of rage and frustration of my rights being disregarded. My experience with how Apartment Management Consultants LLC handled a single event sent me down a rabbit-hole filled with laws, stories, and outcomes. Once I hit the bottom (for now) of this descent into legal case and law studies, one fact was consistently made aware. Colorado, and other states, have a need for Tenants' Associations.
Now creating a state wide tenants' association involves a huge amount of resources and planning. But if I started small with a clear path of future growth, it can be accomplished. So I believe that if a tenants association is created at Cedar Run Apartments, it could be the perfect stepping stone into something greater. Cedar Run is managed by one of the largest property management companies in the country. This is ironic given the facts and track record of mismanaged properties controlled by AMC LLC. This means that if a tenants association was created at Cedar Run then the next logical step would be to expand to other AMC LLC managed properties (there are plenty) in Colorado. Over 90 properties in Colorado are being managed by AMC LLC. That's a tremendous amount of tenants.
After recently learning of the issues the tenants AMC LLC did not, or have not yet, wrongfully evict I felt that emotion of frustration and well placed rage overcome me again. To see photos of massive mold growths, no hot water for weeks and in return means no heat for weeks, and the replies from AMC LLC about these issues physically made me sick. To think that this abuse can just continue while legislatures and agencies distance themselves from any obligation or the responsibility to stop property management companies from feeding on the lives of families just to make a $ is disgusting at best. This type of suppression and greedy mentality these companies demonstrate are how revolts and revolutions are born.
Since December 4, 2022, I have slept in my car or on a good day, a cheap motel. You know the kind that you sleep fully dressed and never under any sheets provided by that motel. If it were just me dealing with the unethical management tactics of AMC LLC it probably would not upset as much. But seeing my wife go through it or the families I watched climb the outside of a 4 story building to get inside their homes only to toss their life's possessions down to the ground below. Seeing that has changed me and it has taken a simple security I've always assumed would be there and destroyed it.
This past Christmas of 2022 I sat in one of those less than clean motels and days before that I sat in my car staring at a temperature reading of -20°. All night making sure that I had enough gas to heat the car up 10 minutes at a time. I've had many moments of feeling like a complete failure to my wife for not being prepared for this insane scenario. Then I had a moment of clarity and quickly realized I was allowing those wrong emotions of guilt, sadness, regret, and helplessness to consume what energy I had left. So with the wealth of knowledge available on the glorious internet and an amazing crypto community of jokesters, artists, and developers ready to help. I began planning and studying. Then creating this site to express my thoughts and hopefully educate and empower other tenants that found themselves under AMC LLC's thumb. The experience has been overwhelming and frustrating at times. Mainly due to my lack of time in a day to accomplish everything. But I have realized that this little website has helped others and the future of this site will eventually become a site devoted to a tenants association for the Mile High citizens and I look forward to seeing it develop into something that levels the landlord/tenant playing field. And it will start with exposing AMC LLC...
